Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Outstanding Volunteer Award

In February of 2007, Komen for the Cure honored Bosom Buddies, Friends for Life as the group to receive the Outstanding Volunteer Award for 2006. The award is given annually by the national Susan G. Komen office to one local organization chosen among those nominated by all Komen affiliate offices. Lyn Castellano was flown to the 2007 Komen Affiliate Conference in Dallas, Texas as a Bosom Buddies representative.  After accepting the award on behalf of the team, Lyn gave a speech recognizing the importance of each member of Bosom Buddies.  This prestigious recognition is a tribute to the great team that has been built over the years.
