About Bosom Buddies
Bosom Buddies is a group of individuals involved in raising funds for breast cancer research, education, screening, treatment and support programs. The group was formed in 1995 in support of a very special woman who was fighting breast cancer. Sadly, our friend lost her battle with the disease, but left in her wake a group of individuals determined to continue her fight.
Over the years, we have done much more than simply raise money for an important cause. We have formed friendships, shared quality moments, and instilled in our families a desire to help others. We celebrate our many team members who are survivors of breast cancer and support those who are battling the disease. We are bound by our determination to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and research. To date, we have raised over $412,000 (see Achievements link below). All net proceeds are directed to the St. Louis Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Up to seventy-five percent of the net money raised stays in the St. Louis area. A minimum of twenty-five percent of the funds support the Komen Award and Research Grant Program.
Bosom Buddies partake in many events (walks, trivia nights, and golf tournaments, just to name a few). Together we celebrate the progress that is being made, while continuing to raise funds to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
